Trans-oesophageal Echocardiography (TOE) is being increasingly used inside the operating room. The anaesthesiologist is expected to not only perform the TOE examination but understand and interpret the images. Although, TOE provides crisp, clean and detailed images, it is not easy to interpret them, especially for the anaesthesiologist who is not used to echocardiography. A well defined training for and experience with the technique is necessary. This atlas will go a long way in fulfilling this objective.
Lucidly illustrates the normal as well as the commonly encountered abnormal images.

Thrust is on quality images with brief and understandable legends.

Images related to all the valvular and congenital lesions along with several other aspects, such as vegetations, masses, thrombi, and prosthetic valves have been illustrated.

Echocardiographic principles have been discussed

Book size is so handy that it can be carried to the work place for ready reference during the TOE examination.
